Trailing Stops on the server
November 23, 2009

A long-awaited feature has been added to myForex Platform! We've successfully finished development and implementation of Trailing Stops.

A Trailing Stop automatically moves a Stop order as price changes in favorable direction. Trailing Stop gets filled when price moves in the unfavorable direction.

There are 3 types of Trailing Stops:

  1. Trailing Stop can be added to open position.
  2. Trailing Stop can be added to any entry order. In this case Trailing Stop activates when entry order becomes a position.
  3. You can also create a Trailing Entry Stop Buy and Entry Stop Sell in Dealing Rates window or charts.

Note: on this type of Trailing Stop you'll not be able to add Stop Loss and Limit Profit.

How to set Trailing Stop:
Proceed to making a Stop order, check Trailing checkbox in a dialog box and fill in trailing distance in pips.
For example, to make the order follow current market rate at a distance of 20 pips, right-click on the instrument or chart, and check Trailing order checkbox in a dialog box and type 20 in Rate Min. Move field (10 pips is default minimum value that can be adjusted in Admin).
Last column in Pending Orders on All accounts window named Rate Min Move will show the trailing distance for all such orders.
